Tracey Stewart

Tracey has always been passionate about law, and followed her passion by studying an LLB at Stellenbosch University. After obtaining an LLB degree Tracey went on to complete her qualification by doing articles at a well established commercial law firm, MacGregor Stanford Kruger Inc. After completing her articles Tracey practised as a commercial litigation attorney before one of her biggest clients, Highbury Safika Media (“HSM”) offered her a position as in-house legal counsel.

HSM is the largest independent magazine publisher in Southern Africa and publishes more than half of the Sports titles in South Africa. Tracey has always had a passion for sport and in particular rugby, and through HSM, has developed an interest in the legalities of South African sports and decided to obtain accreditation with SARU to enable her to represent professional rugby players in South Africa.

With Tracey’s legal knowledge and the application thereof to the day to day complexities which players face, she can offer players, whom she represents, sound advice and guidance on professional rugby laws but also other aspects such as estate planning, family law, commercial law, contract drafting, perusing and negotiation.
